Appellant Randy T. McCoy filed suit against appellees Texas Instruments, Inc. ("TI"), David Cotton, Ken Melvin, and David Solomon for race discrimination, retaliation, and slander after his layoff in a company-wide reduction in force. Appellees were granted summary judgment. Tex. R. Civ. P. 166a(c), (i). McCoy appeals asserting: (1) he received ineffective assistance of counsel and (2) the trial court erred in granting summary judgment on his racial discrimination and retaliation claims. For the following reasons, we affirm the trial courts judgment.
